Audio production continues to be quite popular in Studio 300. Every day patrons are hard at work in our amazing audio suites making beats, recording podcasts, singing and playing music, and more. Two recent programs took advantage of the audio technology available, but the results might be a little different than expected.
Young patrons in the Children’s Boo! Ha – ha! Club program gathered in Studio 300 to produce some scary sounds. Using a bevy of found objects, their voices, and a few unusual musical instruments, they created many interesting noises. After working with the sounds a bit, we mixed them together into the final version below. Give it a listen.
In another class, patrons learned to personalize their own phones by creating a custom ringtone. Using GarageBand, a microphone, and a healthy dose of creativity, here’s just one fun example made during the session.
