Dads and their daughters explored Studio 300 once again during our latest Digital Date Night. The evening was filled with fun as patrons played music, made videos, used our Carvey desktop fabricator, built and coded a robot, and so much more.
At this year’s program, our Fountaindale Public Library patrons experimented with two different animation styles: cutout stop-motion and computer-based animation. Here are their completed animations made during the November 2018 Animation Bootcamp program in Studio 300.
The Maker lab inside Studio 300 Maker Lab announces new Heat Press Vinyl colors just in time for the holidays. Use Electric Red, Electric Green, Metallic Gold, and Crystal Holographic for making custom t-shirts and other apparel. There is a slightly higher costs for this vinyl at $3 a foot. In later October 2018, Studio 300’s Justin Clash led a lively and informative Music Business Roundtable featuring industry professionals, Rodger Willis, Cedric Crout, and David Mitchell who shared their career journey and discussed how to thrive in the challenging music world of today.
Congratulations to the Bolingbrook Garden Club for taking the first place trophy (Amateur Built Float) at this year’s Pathways Parade. Members used Studio 300 technology to create several elements of their design.
Studio 300 kicked off this year’s Summer Camps for our Tween and Teen patrons with a Songwriting Workshop. The young patrons gathered for a creative collaboration in Studio 300. Together they selected a background music track, composed their melody, wrote their own lyrics, rehearsed the song, and then performed the track in one of our soundproof audio booths.
