Think book club, but with movies instead. And that describes our two newest clubs for film fans. The next meeting is Tuesday, July 30th where we meet and discuss two films.
Film Club meets July 30 at 6:30 p.m., to take a close look at The Lost City of Z (2016), available on Blu-ray, DVD and Hoopla.
This epically scaled tale of courage and passion, told in writer/director James Gray’s classic filmmaking style, The Lost City of Z is a stirring tribute to the exploratory spirit and a conflicted adventurer driven to the verge of obsession.
The Classic Reels club meets July 30 at 7:30 p.m. to breakdown and discuss the classic movie: Clue (1985), available on Kanopy, Blu-ray and DVD.
Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn and Christopher Lloyd lead an all-star cast in this murderously funny cult classic based on the world-famous Clue board game.
Watch the films on your own, then join us for snacks and a breakdown discussion about the films. (Both are available in multiple formats with your library card.)
