Dinosaurs a big hit

This past Saturday dinosaurs invaded the Fountaindale Public Library. Presenters Nick Wiersum and Laura Shields led our patrons on an exciting journey into the past. And they shared what it’s like to dig for dinosaurs today. Patrons were able to explore real dinosaur fossils and participate in several activities. A lucky young patron was able to dress up as a real dinosaur hunter, too. Laura even shared an excerpt from her in-progress video about her recent dig in Montana. The slide show below captures the highlights.

A fun activity asked our young dinosaur enthusiasts to write about what it would be like to have a pet dinosaur. You can read their delightful stories on our Flickr page by following this link.
